When it comes to BSG, it isn’t ‘ships that I’m drawn to. Rather, what I love to see in this fandom is character pieces, reactions to what happened, and where they’re going. This story takes six minor characters (Cally, Gaeta, Dualla, Helo, Billy, and Crashdown) and looks at their reactions and reasoning following the miniseries.

I like Six, and I very much liked this story. It is about Six, and Gaius, and I wouldn’t expect to ache for Six--but I did.

Oh. My. Goodness. Heartbreaking, and beautiful, and ultimately hopeful, this fic had me in tears. Written for the BSG “common people” challenge, this story centers around the crew of the fleet’s smallest ship. The original characters are vividly drawn, and painfully human--I cared for them deeply, and would not complain at seeing more of them in the future.
